The mainstream media and youtube channels have extensively covered the death of all 4 members of the Dokadia family residing at Mughal building, Pydhonie, Mumbai after consuming biryani followed by water melon.
Later it was confirmed that their relatives had also consumed the biryani and did not face any health problems.
Only after consuming the water melon, the husband, wife and their two daughters started vomiting and had loose motion.
After a doctor attended to them, the family members condition worsened.
Though the doctors at JJ Hospital tried their best, they could not save the life of any family member with the father dying at about 10.30 pm on 27 April
Initially it was assumed that there was a problem with the water melons , and this has adversely affected the sale of watermelons in the locality initially.
Now the sales of water melons in the wholesale market is also affected
