Custard apples (sitafal in indian languages) are one of the sweeter fruits available in the local market
However, eating the custard apples is messy, since the fruit pulp or flesh has to be separated from the seeds.
The fruit has a large number of seeds, and less flesh.
The custard apples have to be eaten soon after they become ripe.
If the fruit is not eaten immediately, it becomes rotten and has to be thrown away.
Hence the local fruit seller was selling the fruit at lower price of Rs 100 per kg after a few days to get rid of his stock.
