According to media reports andhra pradesh has banned the import of totapuri mangoes from karnataka because the mangoes are very cheap and importing the mangoes will cause losses to the telugu farmers. The karnataka farmers are selling totapuri mangoes at Rs 5 per kg while the telugu farmers are selling the mangoes at least Rs 12 per kg.
Another reasons why karnataka farmers are selling their mangoes at very low prices is because the processing units are in Chittoor , Andhra Pradesh and the farmers are dependent on the processing units.

One of the reason why karnataka does not have enough processing units because the karnataka officials and leaders do not value engineers and are refusing to to end the resume robbery of engineers with good JEE rank from karnataka.
